Blackstone Rivers Ranch Summer Tent Wedding In Idaho Springs, Colorado
Planning Chelsea and Cj’s wedding with them was such a blast. As wedding planners we love when clients tell us they really want all the little details for their big day to be customized to them, and we are here for it. Blackstone rivers ranch as such a fun venue to work at. They have such gorgeous forest views, a beautiful river, and the tent and lighting is to die for. We were obsessed and cannot wait for to plan more weddings there. However, make sure if you're planning a summer wedding here that your bathroom baskets and welcome kits include bug spray like our client’s below. As wedding planners we always appreciate when clients take our advice and are overly prepared for all the little situations that can arise.
Chelsea and CJ chose to do a private first look with their amazing photographer, Erika Holtz, atop a lovely nearby mountain where the rain created the perfect ambiance and light for some stunning first look bride and groom photos.
The couple then just dodged the rain for their ceremony and they were able to get married under the gorgeous pine trees near with the river in the background. The couple ended their wedding ceremony with a unity sand ceremony and then headed off to enjoy cocktail hour and the oxygen bar under the deck of the venue!
When we design a wedding day we love adding custom elements for our couples and this wedding we had it all. We loved using our black linens with the bold burgundy napkins to match with the light and airy feel of the reception tent. The couple designed custom pizza cutters and koozies as wedding favors and they were a huge hit. The party definitely started when the custom foam glow sticks came out and then the crowd surfing began and we were here for it!!!! Guests were also able to head down to the river to enjoy a fun smores bar near the fire or stay out of the drizzle and pop your own popcorn at our custom popcorn bar.
Another wedding favorite was the custom kid table place settings. They featured handmade candy kabobs, light up glasses (that most of the adults stole), bubbles, and a fun custom coloring book. The kids loved it. This wedding also featured our all white wedding bounce house and let’s just say not only the kids were indulging in bounce house fun.
